7 Feet Of Snow In Iran
Iran's disruptive snows of late last week persisted through the weekend, delivering "a new wave of frosty weather" to much of the country, as well as "heavy snowfall to the Iranian cities," reports mehrnews.com.
The height of snow in some villages, such as Khalkhal in Ardabil province, has now surpassed 2 meters (6.6 feet).
Snowfall has also swept the Lorestan province, where it has blocked roads to 160 villages as well as some cities, including Aligudarz and Borujerd.
Gilan province has also been blanketed, particularly Astara, Masuleh, and Shanderman.
It's a similar story in northern Palentine.

Even more impressive has been the snow in nearby Turkey, which has towered to heights of 7 meters (23 feet):
