All-Time Record-Breaking Snow In Japan
Heavy snow has hit Japan as temperatures plummet.
Record-breaking snow—in fact—has swept swaths of the country, conditions that are hindering rescue efforts in the earthquake-hit Ishikawa Prefecture where, as of Monday, 168 deaths have been confirmed with 323 people still missing.
The likes of Rankoshi, Okishi, Otaru are among the locales to have set all-time snowfall records this week:
