Snows Persist In N. India

Northern India continues to face heavy snowfall.

Over the past two days, the Minamarag Zojila axis in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has received 1.5 feet of fresh accumulation (video below).

The Srinagar-Leh highway is now blocked, disrupting travel and trade.

Authorities have deployed snow clearance teams, but relentless snowfall continues to hinder progress. Power outages and treacherous roads further compound the challenges.

More snow is expected in the coming days, raising the avalanche risk.

Fierce Cold To Sweep China

A significant cold front is poised to sweep China, bringing a sharp temperature drop of 20–30C across various regions.

Central China, in particular, is expected to experience a dramatic shift from mild spring-like conditions to severe cold and blizzards.
