Late-April warmth is being spun by the UK Met Office as yet another climate concern. The truth? It’s a normal spring warm spell — and once again, the so-called “record” temperatures are coming from thermometers placed in absurd locations.

As geologist John Dodders pointed out on X, these stations are not measuring climate — they’re capturing local heat pollution.

Northolt’s thermometer sits right next to the gridlocked A40 Western Avenue, surrounded by traffic, tarmac, and engine heat:


Chertsey’s station
is in the middle of 1,800 solar panels, installed in 2022 — a guaranteed heat amplifier:


Heathrow’s gauge
is effectively measuring jet exhaust and taxiway heat:


These sites violate basic standards of environmental measurement.
